The Water We Want 2023 - Drawings

The freshwater resources on Earth have been depleted, and many animals are on the brink of extinction. But if we can’t realize it, people will be heading towards extinction in the near future. As a good girl in the new era, I pick up a paintbrush and call on people in my way to protect the Earth, protect freshwater resources, and protect all living things on Earth. We are the masters of the Earth and the hope for the future. Let's work hand in hand to create a beautiful home, protect the source of life with love, and protect our beautiful home with love! Live a happy and joyful life from now on.

We presented three charts that demonstrate the vital importance of water in the world. These charts aim to raise awareness among humans about the need to avoid wasting this precious resource, which is at the core of the universe. Furthermore, these charts highlight the suffering and challenges that some countries face due to the lack of water, underscoring the urgency of taking action to preserve this vital resource for humanity.

Two young girls boarded a boat sailing along the Yangtze River, preparing to search for the critically endangered Chinese sturgeon and baiji dolphin. During their search, they unexpectedly found a lot of garbage in the river, which was turbid. They did not find any cChinese sturgeon or baiji dolphin, and almost all other types of fish had disappeared. There are two Chinese sturgeons and whitefin dophins made of garbage in the picture, warning people that if water resources are not well protected, these endangered species will truly become extinct. Let's work together to protect water resources and biodiversity.

Splendid use of color supporting the forms and their value. Proposal loaded with a special
meaning. The adequate and rational use of water in a spring environment. It perfectly chains the benefit that represents that the flora is dazzling so that, in this case, the bees release the nectar of the flowers to produce honey, which also contributes to the preservation of human health. The value of water is truly incalculable, infinite, since life does not exist without it and there is no substitute for it.

Harmony between man and nature.

With our friends and our teacher, we often go to the river near our school. We learned a lot about it by walking along the shores, observing the plants and animals in and around it. After studying, we like to play by the river. We play hide and seek by the trees that grow near the water, we play ball, we jump. Sometimes we look at our face in the river, we make the river and ourselves laugh. I look forward to being by the river very often, and hope that it is clean and beautiful.

In this thought-provoking artwork, the devastating impact of water scarcity is powerfully depicted. He symbolizes the search for sustenance amidst water scarcity by drinking the precious water dripping from it. Would you fill your own house with waste? Just as we take care of the house we live in, so must we take care of our home planet.

The canvas represents life after the climate change crisis on the left, a worldwide drought on fire where the “Scientists” are looking for new planets. In the middle, above the dry planet, “Water Godess” with “The Newborn” – personification of the hope- Under the dry planet two children – which represents a sad (left) and a happy (right) planet which supports themselves, On the right we have an ideal world full of water hopefully brought by next generations that can be our new hope to save our lives and our planet.

"Divided in groups, children have elaborated some tips about the use of the water in the normal life and some solutions to avoid water wasting:
1.When I use soap for the dishes, I avoid leaving the water flowing.
2.When I wash my hands, it is better to close the tap to avoid water wasting. When I brush my teeth, before the water flows, I put the tooth paste on the tooth brush.
3.When I use the washing machine, it is better to set a short timing and use it when it’s full.
4.Do not waste water, you must not play with it!
5.It is better to have a shower then to have a bathtub. When I use soap, I close the water. Don’t waste water!"

The drawing represents the waste of water by man with old and worn pipes. We must safeguard natural resources by respecting biodiversity and limiting waste…Water is life. Without water there is no life.

The project takes origin from the observation of our rural areas with their colours and shapes, in particular the Miranese one, especially those nearby a river or a canal (for example the Marzenego river or the Canale Taglio), and from the analysis and in-depth study of freshwater fauna. As far as fish is concerned, we have considered the difference between alien species, such as the catfish and the rainbow trout, and native species like the bleak, the carp and the brown trout. With regard to birds, special attention has been put on the kingfisher, the grey heron and the mallard. All these things have offered our students the opportunity to create a plastic model representing water, the surrounding areas, and some well-known fauna species living in the territory. It has been realized with the putty Das, coloured with tempera paints and a protective glossy spray paint. Finally, each part has been pasted on a wooden support like a puzzle.

The lion of Venice represents venetian “Consorzio di Bonifica” and also all of us, third class children of Nievo primary school in Spinea (Venice). As the lion does, we want to overcome the wall of problems, afflicting the Water and our Planet. Our aim is to protect Water for life (Goal 6 – Agenda 2030).

Every small act make the difference. We children are also to preserve this precious resource, important for the life of every living being…so we’ll be rain for the Earth.

A long river that changes its colour, from sky blue to gloomy black. A wave of litter that is a little drop for each one of us, a drop that becomes responsibility when it pollutes. A lot of people that collaborate, monitor, clean, respect. Everybody has got a role: ecological operators, farmers, teachers, children… That is how every single drop makes a new sky blue river, symbol of the responsibility we have towards the world we live in.

Seen from the sky, planet Earth is a blue jewel. Water is our greatest wealth! Let’s not let
this jewel lose its shine. Let’s save WATER!

It’s sad to think that in such a technological age if you don’t take care of our beautiful landscape bathed by the most precious liquid – WATER – it will just be a memory like in a old photograph.

This drawing intends to represent the importance of saving the planet’s water (in particular freshwater) as well the need to avoid polluting water resources and reducing emissions of polluting gases, responsible for climate change. We want a healthy Earth, so we need everyone’s collaboration!

We must take care of water, without it we cannot survive. We can do it! I drew a giant drop that says "let's take care of water".

In the drawing I wanted to represent the new OSE pools, since it is one of the methods to produce drinkable water.

My drawing is based on the story of the famous model Georgie Badiely and the boys and
girls who have to walk miles to fetch water.

There are waves and a doll that made the chemical formula of water.

It is related to the river and the OSE of my town.

It is a historical space of our town.

The magical river catfish is a special fish that lives in Slovenian rivers. His body is green and blue so it could easily blend in and hide from other predators. It has one big fin and two smaller ones along with one big tail. All those fins and the tail helps him to swim faster, especially in stronger river flows. His sharp teeth help him to look scarier and scares away anyone who dares to pollute our waters. Even though he looks very similar to normal catfish, he has a very special task. He keeps our rivers clean. He heads all the garbage and all harmful things that gets thrown into the rivers. His gills filters the water so it's always fresh and clean.

On our poster we present the River Sava as we want it. The river flows past our school. We want it clean, without roads, railways, and hydroelectric power plant. We want better conditions for the turtles, living in one of the river's streams. The students want footpaths and wooden bridges over the River Sava and untouched nature – animals and plants they can observe. They would like to play with small wooden mills in the stream and revive the old Korens' mill. Above all there is a desire to preserve natural beauty for future generations.

In many places people throw garbage into rivers. The fish are dying and the water is dirty. Without clean water, plants are not happy either. Then all nature suffers and is sad. If there is no garbage in the water, the whole nature smiles and thanks us. To stop water pollution, all people must come together and stop waste from polluting the waters. Unfortunately, pollution affects all continents. White, black, or yellow hands we must stop water pollution! Let's do this for ourselves and for the future of the planet!

In the center of my poster "Water is the Source of Life" is the big water drop of the source of life, surrounded by the colorful waves formed by the accumulation of numerous water drops, which symbolize the countless efforts made by all of us to protect water resources. Doves are flying with the waves, which implies that we live in peace with nature and the world is becoming more beautiful. I hope everyone knows the importance of water resources and does their bit to keep the source of life going on!

Water is the source and foundation of everything in the world. With water, human can survive and all things can be full of vitality. It accompanies us every day, it is a gift from nature. A drop of water helps a lot. It can turn grass green, make trees lush, get air fresh and also make life beautiful. I hope that everyone can start from themselves, with daily matters around us, to protect the source of life and save water, and make the beauty on the earth not only appear in a painting.

My work is themed on water conservation. In the painting a man holds up a blue whale in tears in his hand and the blue whale bears a deserted earth on its back, which is surrounded by earthy river. There are also many cut down trees and some dead branches on the deserted earth, and the houses emit white smoke. Everything looks so lifeless. So this painting warns people to save water, and we must turn off the tap after washing hands! Besides, we can use vegetable-washing water to flush the toilet, water plants and so on. Saving water depends on everyone!

While creating my artwork, many ideas came to my mind, but I tried to keep a few in my mind after a long research on the importance of groundwater, like understanding edges, spaces, relations and the whole geography. I included all my friends and family in this artwork. I tried to present all walks of life around water, for water, by water. I portrayed what all is possible with groundwater. I tried to present all the details at the right place.

With the use of black lines, and with a variety of colors, the author conveys a content and expressiveness that come together to deliver a unique proposal for the magical solution that the WATER resource provides us, in all elements: human, animal and in the vegetation. The ecological focus irrefutably all the attention. The importance of water and its functions on the planet is undoubtedly crucial for the life of all living beings that inhabit it.

This work marks the living or the dead, splendor and chaos, the beginning and the end; if the damage to Planet Earth is not definitely reduced. With maturity and great quality, it reflects the example of everything we can do and achieve, depending on the adequate disclosure on these important issues for survival in general. The Earth is a rich planet and offers us its resources, it is our responsibility to preserve it. We can all adopt small measures to take care of the environment in our day to day.

With bright colors and a pleasant design, the creative greatness and mastery of the author is evident, pointing out all the beauty and all the splendor contained in our Mother: Nature. He emphasizes with a representation of the accumulation of solid waste, so that it is not dumped into the river; as a sample of what should not be done for the preservation and care of the Environment. Let's promote harmony with nature and the earth.

Excellent economy of pictorial resources of singular value. A formidable scene with ample
natural content is delivered. Each shape joins the other, to describe a fair visual balance and harmony is achieved in a small space. It transmits the splendor, vitality and full enjoyment, for receiving the benefits that nature offers us by providing us with the vital water resource. The Goticas (drops) give life to people. Without them, people cannot live. There should be enough to travel safely.

Desire for Water

Where there is water, there is a fairy tale.

Fish long for water and freedom, the flowing stream, the calm lake water, and the vast and boundless sea. They say: we ourselves want to go swimming in river, lakes, and seas.

Let’s save the water! We don’t have to waste or pollute it. All living beings need water for their life. Water is a crucial natural resource without which, there would be no life on Earth. 97 per cent of water is in the oceans which are salty and cannot be used for drinking purpose. Of the remaining 2.5 per cent that is freshwater, most is frozen in glaciers and polar ice caps. The water supply available on earth is very limited. In the green world, water drops help animals, help trees and grass to grow better. They help the rainbow to appear. They help people to be healthy and joyful. We need to keep water for the proper supply of water for the future generations. Let's save life on our planet!
